Bears reporter finds creative way around team’s strict social media policy

The Bears have a strict social media policy in place for beat writers trying to cover training camp. There are a few rules, but the most important for the aspect of this story is that photographers are not allowed to shoot any video or photos during team drills.

Chicago Sun-Times reporter Patrick Finley followed those rules, but he also wants to keep his followers informed. So he’s found a creative workaround to show Bears fans what’s going on while also adhering to the team’s guidelines.

Instead of recording plays with his phone, he draws them on paper.
