Patriots’ Danny Amendola struts catwalk at NYC fashion show

Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola knows how to work a runway.

The 31-year-old was spotted strutting his stuff on the catwalk at a NYC fashion show Monday night.

On Jimmy Johnson’s last lap with the Cowboys dynasty he built, the team reached its zenith, starting slowly with a post-Super-Bowl-funk start of 7-4 but then tearing through the games that mattered most: eight consecutive wins through Super Bowl 28 by an average margin of 16 points. Only a victory over the Giants in a season-ender to clinch the division even troubled them Cowboys.

Perhaps the only thing more impressive than Miami’s perfect season was not allowing the celebration to undermine the following year. Honestly, the fact the Dolphins came back the next season and lost just twice, rolling through the postseason by a combined 52 points — this team in some ways might even have been better than its more storied predecessor.

Watson will have his chance to win over a team at the Combine, but as of now, he isn’t expected to do so. Film and mental development do most of the work for quarterbacks. But at the end of the day, a decision maker has to be willing to tie his name to a quarterback. That’s what Watson needs to do in Indy.

While Watson is the bigger name and will be the media’s focus, Patrick Mahomes of Texas Tech might be the true question mark for NFL teams.

Some I’ve spoken with are right in line with my evaluation, wondering if he is the top quarterback in this class and whether he should go in the top 15. Others laugh at the idea of a gunslinger who won five games in 2016 going top 20. Based on my reading at this point, he ranges from the sixth Cheap Jerseys And Hats best passer for some teams to maybe No. 1 for others, way more variable than Watson.

Jason Pierre-Paul gets another franchise tag from Giants

Jason Pierre-Paul will get at least one more year in New York.

Ahead of the March 1 deadline, the Giants on Monday applied the franchise tag to the defensive end after tagging him two years earlier.

Pierre-Paul is expected to earn approximately $17 million in 2017 under the tag, but ESPN’s Adam Schefter noted the veteran will continue to try to reach a long-term deal with the team.

The Falcons were in field goal range with about four minutes to play and a chance to make it a two-score game again … until left tackle Jake Matthews was flagged for a blatant hold during a Matt Ryan third-down throw. The penalty resulted in a third-and-long, and Ryan’s incomplete pass forced a Falcons punt. The Patriots got the ball back on their own nine.

Pierre-Paul, who was set to become an unrestricted free agent next week, was injured in a July 4 fireworks accident in 2015 that caused him to lose his index finger and damage Website For Cheap Jerseys his hand. Despite the tragic setback, he proved his resilience by working his way back to the starting roster.

Pierre-Paul, 28, finished with seven sacks, three forced fumbles and eight pass deflections in only 12 games last season.

Back in 1998, Terrell Davis was just the fourth player to rush for 2,000 yards and the sixth to rush for 20 touchdowns on the way to his second AP Offensive POY award in three seasons. Anderson wasn’t too far behind, making the “Dirty Bird” famous while becoming one of just two Falcons ever to eclipse 2,000 yards from scrimmage. It was Davis who totaled 152 yards in the big game as the Broncos made the Falcons’ first Super Bowl appearance a forgettable one.

NFL Scouting Combine: Jack Del Rio says Raiders need to ‘eliminate the gray’ to fix defense

The head coach of the Silver and Black has already created an offseason mantra for his defense heading into the 2017 season: Eliminate the gray.

The motto was stressed three times by the Raiders’ Jack Del Rio during a Thursday interview with co-host Rick Neuheisel and I on SiriusXM NFL Radio.

“We’ve got to play better defense,” he said at the NFL Scouting Combine. “We’re not playing the kind of defense that I’m proud of and expect. We all share in that. We’re going to work to make sure (that’s fixed).

“We have a good group of guys. We just need to do it better. We just need to eliminate the gray. We had too many breakdowns.”

“Every season is different. You can go back to certain games and look at opportunities that were there, opportunities that you had, it was a roller coaster ride to say the least and again, they’re all different. Again, the team fought back from through an up and down early part of the season, we had an opportunity that we didn’t take advantage of to put ourselves in a position to win the division again, but that didn’t happen, so you move on.”

After Irsay decided to dismiss Grigson, he hired Chris Ballard to be the team’s new GM. Irsay then met with Pagano, who did not want to discuss the details of that conversation. But he did Cheap Quality Jerseys decline to answer in perhaps the nicest way possible.

“Those are conversations we’ll keep private,” Pagano said. “Those Cheap Red Sox Jerseys are between Mr. Irsay and myself. I respect and appreciate you appreciating that answer.”

Breaking down new-look Eagles: Carson Wentz gets his weapons; so does pass rush

The Eagles got the hard part out of the way last offseason when they traded up in the draft for franchise quarterback Carson Wentz. The move gave Philadelphia officials a clear handle on how they needed to prioritize in their follow-up 2017 offseason — getting everything Wentz needs to take a big leap in Year 2.

While the lines and linebackers didn’t require more than a few tweaks, the Eagles spent free-agent money on pass-catchers and draft capital on pass rushers and coverage. As they added more firepower around Wentz, they also delivered their defensive arsenal an excellent, follow-up first-rounder.

Here we analyze the key changes on the Eagles’ depth chart as they try to go from a 7-9 team to a true NFC playoff contender.

Above and beyond the concerns about Peterson’s age (32) and recent injury history is the fact that he’s never played in an offense that uses backs the way the Saints do, and the Saints have never used a back the way Peterson has been used. In hooking up this season, both sides decided, “Yeah, so what?”

The adventure will be meshing what Peterson does best with Liverpool Cheap Jerseys Mark Ingram, who keeps proving how valuable an all-around back he is when healthy. Peterson has had two 40-reception seasons in his career; Ingram has had two in the last two seasons, including 2015, when he tore his rotator cuff and missed the final month.

He played in the preseason for the Cowboys and spent part of the 2015 season on the club’s practice squad. He has since had spells on the rosters of the Kansas City Chiefs and Atlanta Falcons.

“I am very happy and excited about the opportunity,” he said. “I feel like this is something I need to progress and further my career. I am very grateful to the guys who have worked with us and put their neck on the lines for us. It’s a chance to develop my skills and it is going to be nice to be in that NFL environment again.
